I did it!!
Today is a new day. Today I woke up earlier than 6 a.m. Today I exercised for 30 minutes. Today I started my goal. Today I began running like a princess.
The stars twinkled, the moon cast shadows. If there ever was a fall morning to start a running goal, this was it.
I can hardly believe it. I guess I was worried because this isn't the first time I've tried to change. I've had dreams of improving my running skills since high school and I joined the cross country team (that lasted about 3 weeks). It's as if instead of being out of the woods, I've just taken one step into the woods and I can still see my house. Still, I'm euphoric with the knowledge that I'm finally back on track.
Honestly I can't take much credit for it. When I told my husband about finding the contest on facebook, which lead me to the RunDisney web site, which lead me to belive I could train for a half-marathon, my husband bought into the idea immediately. Instead of doubting whether or not we could get up that early, he began planning. He set the alarm for 5:45. Since he is the one who usually turns off the alarm, he gave me a quick goal to get out of bed too.
